Anne Marie Duff

Anne-Marie Duff has been an English actress, narrator, and writer for more than thirty years. Duff's television debuts came during the latter part of 1990, after she completed her studies at Drama Centre London. The actress became well-known for her character Fiona Gallagher in the first two seasons UK TV series Shameless. The Virgin Queen (2006) saw her play the role of Queen Elizabeth as Queen Elizabeth in The Virgin Queen, and she was also the lead character in From Darkness (2015). Duff played roles in movies such as Enigma (2001) The Magdalene Sisters Notes on a Scandal (2006) French Film (2008) The Last Station and Nowhere Boy Before I Go to Sleep (2014) and Suffragette (2015). The actress was nominated for BAFTA awards for Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Actress in Shameless The Virgin Queen. In addition to that, she was awarded the BAFTA Cymru Award in Best Actress in 2007 for her performance in the TV movie The History of Mr Polly. Anne-Marie Duff has been a highly successful and award-winning English actress who has established herself on TV, stage and on the radio. She garnered mainstream attention portraying Fiona Gallagher in the British comedy-drama TV show Shameless and as Queen Elizabeth I on the mini-series of television The Virgin Queen.
